As a manager i have tonight received your letter with the information to the new rules. I would like to express my concern over these rules although i am not saying i do not agree with them.

firstly you have written - All manager should be aware of the three rule changes and by signing your completed application form you have agreed to abide by the rules. these rules will take effect from January 1st 2009.

I want to highlight this first as all managers signed their application forms prior to the new rules taken effect on the 1st January 2009, therefore how have we already signed to abide by these rules? you dont sign something and then expect the documentation that you have signed for to change after the date you signed it.

Secondly you have written - Regarding players receiving suspensions, any player will now be suspended from all nights and not just the night the suspension was received.

Although personally i dont agree with this because as a manager i should not be held responsible for a players actions when they were not suspended within the team i manage - when signing the application form it states that i am responsible for each player, how can a manager be responisible for a player on another night. As stated above the signed application form for this season was prior to the rule change anyway.

the other Two rule changes i do agree with but as a fully paying manager every week and so far a fortunate one to date i have not needed to worry about the issues of team failure to show or not making payment therefore i am not bothered about these issues although once again i dont see how it can be implemented after the signed application form.

Id appreciate your comments although im not writing this to cause trouble just wanted to bring to your attention my feelings on the subject.

1 = I will give ALL managers a new application forms for them to complete again IN FULL with all players names and addreses etc and should they wish not to sign them then they will obviously be removed from the leagues and any payments due to them will be returned.

2 = Any players suspended WILL be suspended from ALL nights for the duration of their suspension and if they wish to play for other teams on other nights then players will have to make sure they don't get suspended. If a manager does not wish his players to get suspended from other nights then they must ask their players not to play on other nights thus avoiding this. Players playing 2/3/4/ nights a week at present are only being suspended for one night and and still playing on ther nights thus defeating the object of a punishment.

3 / 4 = Run in conjuction with the match fee and if that has unfortunatley gone up so will any admin rule 2 etc. Teams were given the option to withdraw from the league if they never agreed with the increase at the brginning of December.

I think a new application form would be a good idea not only for the managers but also for you therefore no one can say they didnt agree to it.

Can i also add one more small request - when are we getting the new schedule handbook with all the match fixtures? surely it would be easier for you to add new rules to the bottom of the old rules that would be as normal in the front of the handbook

You know how i like to keep the rule book handy and mine is a little battered
but again thanks for your reply, i for one would be happy to sign a new application form.
